Karaoke
  • Tip Rating:
  • There is not alot of entertainment on this island at night. In Kampung Genting, there is a karaoke pub, for the price of a drink (RM10), you can stay there until they close at 10p.m. If you don't like to sing, you can always watch the star twinkle in the night sky. It is very beautiful. :)

Since this bar is right across the street from Fisher Men Dive Centre, this is a naturally place for Divers to meet in the evenings.

Salang Village's Jetty: A lazy walk along the jetty
  • Tip Rating:
  • This is what I always do...everynight I was there. Infact..this is what others do as well.

You just walk along the jetty..enjoying the cool night breeze while listening to music made by waves...look down to the water... there're plenty of fishes there...walk again... till you come to end of the jetty..n then walk back...or you can just seat at any of the benches placed at the jetty while reading.. chatting...or enjoying the night in Salang...

You'll find some people fishing there. Well, according to the local people it's illegal to fish there but if the Marine Police is not around...you'll be safe...I think...

It can get pretty cold at night...especially when the wind's blowing hard...so bring along some thick clothes...

Calm and peaceful Tioman night - Pulau Tioman

    Don't expect casinos. Ha ha.
    No dancing either.

Nightlife is Tioman is pretty boring actually. In Salang Beach, there is only a few pubs for drkinking and throwing darts. If you're lucky, you can find an internet cafe in your beach. There's one in Salang Beach.

The prefect thing to do at night in Tioman:
    FAMILY

Since you are bringing children along with you to Tioman, it wouldn't be very wise to leave your kids in your resort and coming out to have fun in the pubs right..?

Maybe you can walk down the row of shops and buy some soveniors for relatives back home. Or I suppose is to chat with your family members under the stars. Catch up, bonding...

    COUPLES
Couples, this is absoutely the best thing you can do. Since I don't think you will have wine with you, why not pack some snacks and a couple of beers, take a picnic mat with you, and head down to the beach.

Sea breeze, darkness, crash of the sea waves and just the two of you. Enjoy the peace.

Just look out for bugs and remember to lock your door in your resort.

Absolutely no dress code in Tioman.

    Nightlife on the island
Not really too much to do in the evening, no clubs to go to. Might be something in the expensive resort.
All the restaurants sell drink and you can sit drink, enjoy the atmosphere and chat to people and then take a walk along the beach in the moonlight

    Nightlife in Tioman
There are basically two bars on Air Batang Beach in Tioman.

The first is owned by a guy called Douglas Uno; the Iced Tea Tioman is their speciality drink which I thought was quite nice but strong.

The second is where you go to when the first one closes at about 1am (10-minute walk away). The second is open until 6am. Nothing much except for drinking happens here. While I was at the second bar I watched a fire-ball performance by the local people. A place to totally chillout.

Beers at both places cost about US$1.50 each. Other drinks about US$2-5.

Beach wear! Both bars are next to the beach.

    Peaceful
Peaceful during the night. You can count stars on the sky and watching full moon beside listening to the ocean breeze.
Around here, you may check out the place where you can listen to the local band perform or even you can go for kareoke or maybe you just want to relax at the restaurant. Up to you!

    Overall, nightlife here completely peace.
