We found the food court after asking around the town... The idea came from a customer at our last lunch in Lenggong wanton mee stall... As Lenggong is noted for its wanton mee at Roti Wantan Mee stall, we were told that Raub has a good wanton mee stall in the wet market...

Favorite Dish: On our first visit, the wanton mee stall was closed as the owner is away on a overseas holiday... As an alternative, we have bah kut teh (bkt) which the stall owner claims that he is from Klang, the bkt town... The bkt is just passable... On our next ocassion, we manage to taste the wanton mee... Although the wanton mee is acceptable but the char siew is way out of taste... It is still Lenggong for wantan mee...

The restaurant is located is hosed in the old government clubhouse built by the British which was of wooden structure with stained glass window... The dining area is airy with high ceiling and ceiling fan... There is also an air-conditioned room that can take up about 6 or 7 tables... Dining here is like going back in time with the colonial ambience...

Along the walls are display of photographs of VIPs that patronise the restaurant including the Sultan of Pahang and the current Prime Minister, Dato Najib Razak..

Favorite Dish: The speciality here is the fresh river fish as elsewhere in Raub... The prices are reasonable...

Deer Meat Satay is my dinner in Raub, at a Malay Muslims restaurant named Rokiah Sate. The Deer Meat Satay cost RM0.80 per stick, I only ate 10 sticks, super delicious. Many peoples eating here at night, probably the location is easy, quite enjoyable.

This is the food court that sells pork foods of Chinese, it was introduced by the hotel ladyowner when we asked her where to eat lunch. The food court is probably the only few places that sell Chinese foods with pork, the town of Raub is more inhabited by Muslims Malay, so the food court has to be far back I guessed?? Anyway the food is quite delicious and cheap, RM13 for two person.

Raubian-Chinese Foods is my lunch on the Wesak day one-day-trip on May 2005. The food is obviously pork (non halal) and was selling behind the market. The location is far inside in a food court mainly selling Chinese foods, probably the pork not supposed to be sold in the main street??
