Bus & Cable Car to Genting in Negeri Pahang

by pres_16

Visitors may take the bus at the Puduraya Bus Station or at the KL Sentral Station. I suggest the KL Sentral Station because I experienced disgusting misbehaviors of some people working at the Puduraya Bus Station. I took the bus and Genting Skyway package at a ticket price of RM7.50 one way.

Around Taman Negara by boat

by SLLiew

Other than hiking by foot, the quickest way to get around Taman Negara up or down the riverine system is by boat. You can go on white water rafting or glide down beneath the overhanging tall trees to enjoy the serene jungle. So hire a boat. Our boatman even took us to his home across the National Park to see how he remove fish from fish trap and into his stilt house where his wife served all us some cakes and tea. Have boat will travel.

Getting to Taman Negara by boat

by SLLiew

From Kuala Lumpur, you use the Karak Highway by car or bus to Jerantut and then to Kuala Tembeling where you make arrangements or get your prearrangements for park fees and a 2-3 boat trip up the river to the Kuala Tahan Headquarters. Half of the fun is gettng there by river. You may see monitor lizards or birds along the river banks but do not expect to see tigers or elephants as these animals stay away from human settlements and human paths. Wear long sleeves and a hat or cap as it can be hot under the sun in the boat. Inside the Park, the rivers are shaded by overhead trees.

Your floating Hotel - Cruise Ships

by ATXtraveler

Negeri Pahang is located on the eastern side of Malaysia, which is also accessible by the South China Sea. This means that there is the opportunity to arrive in this province via ship, which is really the reason Pahang has become as populated as it is today. The towns are rather sleepy little towns nowadays with Bangkok and Singapore becoming the major location for shipping channels. This means that all of the industrial ports around Kuantan have looked for alternate revenue streams, one of which is cruise ships. Sarah and I arrived just outside the city of Kuantan in Pahang, and enjoyed a short day travelling throughout Pahang. Hope you enjoy the other tips as well!

Buses to Genting Highlands

by daryll

Getting to Genting Highlands by bus is the best way. Only cost you not more than RM40 and 45 minutes at least. You can get buses either from KL Sentral (get down from the station walk to car park bay towards KL Monorail) or from KL Bus station famously known as PUDURAYA. You may catch STAR LRT and get down at Plaza Rakyat train station.
