From Lumut you will reach Pangkor Island for less than an hour. Lumut has change just like Mersing!

There were encounters of elephants even attacking parked tractors along the highway. And signs of "Beware of Elephants" were placed along certain sections of the highway.
We also saw very often children of Orang Asli appearing from the jungles onto the road or even Orang Asli adults walking along the highway.
Today, there are no more elephant sightings nor the Orang Asli seen along the highway. Both have moved away.
