The forests surrounding the Semai Orang Asli village of Ulu Geroh are rich with Rafflesia Cantleyi species. One of the feature of Rafflesia Cantleyi is its ability to form flowers on the aerial portions of its host Tetrastigma. Tetrastigma is a genus of plants in the grape family, Vitaceae.
The trek to the site take about 1 hour 30 minutes going through some local villages and uphill terrain.
Halfway up the hill, you can already see a Rafflesia. There were a few rotting carcasses here and there, then finally the full bloom flower.
To go the starting point, you need another 1 hour 30 minutes by lorry/4WD. The walking distance are only a few kilometer (maximum 5km).

The sign board clearly highlighted the 4 choices of tour package yopu can choose for.
Come as early at 9 am or before noon for the more time consuming wet tour. If you are too late at before 4pm, you may still ops for the simple dry tour to go home without any disappointment.
The price are all in Ringgit Malaysia, after convertion, they are all less than USD10. Very attractive price for a trip that will wet you down and for you to have a feel in a cave of natural lime stone and wetting by underground spring.

As soon you exit the highway at Gopeng Interchange, turn left to continue a 7-8 km drive to reach the junction at your left for Gua Tempurung.
Just about 2 km drive you at Gua Tempurung Recreation Park. The staff and the rangers would welcome you and suggest you to take one of the 4 package to have a closer look at the cave and the natural limestone. I suggest at least you pick for a most relaxing one to have a dry tour, just a half hour trip. If you pick for the wet package, you have to be more prepare for your time and the challanging ahead, and to come out wet.

In Gopeng, I saw this Gospel Hall, not that I want to talk religion but this is a religious shop about a religion with gospel, who else? But this one is in Chinese, so it probably has some differences from the original ones, but don't ask me, I am not into gospel thing, I was looking at the shops but suddenly it became a gospel hall.

This is one of those activities that will be giving you a natural high. You'll be guided by experienced rafters/guides as you attempt to maneuvre the Kampar River in Gopeng, Perak.
For those who freak out easily like yours truly, fret not as you will be a given safety instructions and a water confidence session. The session would take about 1-1.5 hours.
The entire rafting experience would take about 2-3 hours.
Along the river there would be 3 major "drops", your river guide will ask you beforehand whether you're up for an adrenaline rush by going thru one of the bigger drops. All you need to do is scream and hang on tight!
Equipment: If you have your own safety helmets and life jackets, you are welcome to bring them along, otherwise, the company that operates the rafting service will provide them to you.
Otherwise, just drag along these few items.
swimsuits, change of clothes, towel, slippers, sun block.
