All Malaysian schools have a standard uniform.

For girls it is white and blue and for boys it is white shirts and dark green pants.

Then all the school buses are bright orange yellow.

Most schools are half days. Usually morning sessions. And some have either morning or afternoon sessions.

So at the begiinning and end of school sessions, you will school buses, parents' cars or motorcycles waiting and haphazardly parked outside the school.

Chinese Medicine Shops ( or Medical Halls ) are very popular.
You can get herbal medicines, bird's nest soup, toiletries, bitter traditional cures with friendly smiling service.
( The Chinese way of survival in different countries.)

They are also popular with the Malays and Indians. Most of them also double as little pharmacies with over-the-counter remedies readily dispensed.

Muslims fast throughout the month of Ramadhan.

Since they are fasting, they usually prefer to buy the foodstuff sold by temporary 'chefs' in town

After the month's fast, they celebrate Aidil Fitri.
