Favorite thing: If ure driving to Lumut heading towards Pangkor Island, there are various places to park ur car.
Cost from free(no security), 5/day to 15/day(covered parking with security)...
BUT if ure staying at Pangkor Laut or Pan Pacific Pangkor, u don't need to worry about parking as the hotel will arrange.

Favorite thing: I visit Lumut years ago when a Sitiawan friend brought me to his home to stay a night in the typical village wooden house. They show me their rubber knife which is the sharp tool to tap the rubber trees to get the liquid (latex) flowing and drop into a cup they already nicely tied much earlier. I have no idea which one is Sitiawan and which one is Lumut as both just look so similar. Both are small town and most inhabitants from what I saw were Malaysian-Chinese of HockChew origin.
