Aurora restaurant serves authentic Italian food in a one and only upmarket establishment in Lumut. The food is prepared by our In house Italian Chef who has many years of experience.
The food will be delicious and prices are very reasonable.
The ambience is also superb as guests can enjoy the sea view while dining in our restaurant. Guests will also be vowed by our impeccable service.
Favorite Dish: The food was excellent, as always, especially the pâté, gnocchi and lamb! Delicious!!

If you've had enough of the usual Indian, Chinese or Malay food, you can opt to go to a pretty good western restaurant, Jook Joint. Don't be surprised if you find 3 restaurants of the same name, even on the same street! This family owned restaurant offers lovely dishes off their menu, all well prepared as if it were from a city like Kuala Lumpur.
I used to come here for my weekly espresso coffee and sandwiches or the occasional steak dinner. They also have a bar that serves a good choice of beer and other liquor drinks while you can watch sports or news on a mounted TV
Overall, it has a good atmosphere for you to relax while dining or drinking. There are also seats outside and plenty of magazines for you to read & idle your time away
Favorite Dish: Espresso coffees and their sandwiches are a nice light meal. The salads, steaks and soups are also good

Before you arrive in Lumut town, you will reach a traffic light junction and a monument shaped as a giant shell. If you turn into the junction to Teluk Batik, there is an open air restaurant serving some nice Thai / Kelantan style cooking at a good price.
Favorite Dish: Delicious fried rice, seafood tom yam and fried calamari :)
Order the "keropok" or fish crackers with sweet chilli sauce as an appetiser

Lumut is not famed for its food, though fish are plentiful.
People here are more busy involved in catering to the other needs of the tourists, like taxi / bus service and the hotel.
You can get reasonable food from the hotel restaurants, and Indian Muslim restaurants are plenty in town.
There is KFC outlet, and plenty of western food, and pubs for its sizable expatriate population.

An Indian foodstore. It is one of the earliest eateries to open in the morning. Relatively clean. But flies were hoping to catch us off guard. So we got to 'defend' our foods with our hands.
Favorite Dish: Roti Prata with eggs, served with 2 types of curries. The one that I rarely tasted is the red curry with ikan bilis. Plus a cup of warm Milo. Nice transparent cups.
