by mansionion Not really a must see but do check out the navy base if you have time to spare. The Royal Malaysian Navy base here is said to be one of the most modern in the region. It is equipped with army facilities, port and wharf, accommodation, a hospital, a museum, an officers and recruitment training centre, sports complex and other facilities. Take a look at the base if you are cruising the Dinding Straits en route to Pangkor - probably you can spot a sub-marine emerging from the sea! Leave a Comment

Lumut Town by mansionion The town of Lumut is cacthing up with development as few projects are underway to turn Lumut into one of the most beautiful coastal town in Malaysia. I made my first visit here in 2001 when it was pretty laid back and really suprised how its changed within two years. Its once shoddy looking jetty now spot a brand new looks with its own waterfront promenade area, shopping and dining areas. The town's square with its clock tower now housed a modern looking handicraft centre and a food court. Nevertheless, part of the old section of the town remain intact, giving the town its own historocal precint. Leave a Comment Address: Lumut Town, Perak

The cruise would passing by the Royal Malaysian Navy Base, Lumut Yacht club, Lumut Port and onwards to the Tuanku Bainun bridge and back.
