Favorite thing: Township development has built many traffic lights and growing of car ownership has caused traffic jam. If you are in Parit Buntar and drive in old town area just between 5 - 9 pm and you are a first timer here, you may think you are in a big town. The fact is it is just because of the night market and people would come out for their shopping or just a family outing. It is quite common for local people.
Beside traffic jam, you would find very hard to get a parking space if you want to go to the Pasar Malam. Some people who did not follow the traffic rules to park their vehicle will get summon by traffic police.
A tip for parking is to park your car when you spot a space even it is a distance you have to walk. The other good way is to come early or to come a little bit late, avoiding the peak and crowded time.
The construction of the 2 flyover bridges ( Jalan Taiping and Jalan Sempadan ) above the railway double track is schedule to be completed end 2012, by that time, I hope traffic flow will be much smoother.
