I was there on New Year's eve. There was a NYE celebration at the main restaurant. We didn't want to celebrate it with strangers and as such we headed for Uncle Lim's hoping that it will not be crowded. Apparently, there were quite a number of people whom I believe felt the same way too. So Uncle Lim's was crowded.

This is the restaurant bar by Emerald Bay, the lovely Pangkor Laut beach. It has several tables outside and serves light lunches. You can have satays, calamari, sandwiches and salads. The food is really good and the service excellent.

This restaurant serves chinese food and it's named after its chef, Uncle Lim. There is no menu, when you are at the table the waiters tell you what dishes they have for the day, according to the fresh fish or seafood they have. The restaurant is decorated with chinese motivs. I had an incredile tasteful meal one of the days and an excellent service but the next day it was the complete opposite. Bad food and bad service, so i was a bit disappointed the second time. You have to book a table well in advance, specially if the resort is full.

The Samudra is the restaurant where they serve Malay food. It's built on stilts over the sea and has a nice ambiance, particularly at dinner time. I found the food average here. The service was very good though.

These stalls are found all over Malaysia, especially in the kampungs ( villages ).
Very cheap food, but under dusty and sometimes hot conditions.
But here under the tree, with the breeze from the sea, it's wonderful !
Favorite Dish: Try the famous roti canai, and of course, Nasi Lemak.

Heard that this laksa has been in Pangkor for many years. The foodstall is situated in the Fishermen's Village inside a large shelter where vehicles can drive in.
Favorite Dish: The laksa uses thick noodles, without meat and has a spicy taste, different from others that I tried before.

Said to be the best restaurant in the resort, although very good, we didn't think it was patch on Dinner on the Rocks.
There is a choice of fish and seafood - all freshly caught that day - and cooking methods.
For starter we have prawn and mago in filo pastry with a chilli dip and lobster bisque.
Neither of us being real fish lovers, we both choose stir fried beef with black pepper sauce.
Dessert: Mango and pineapple strudel and apple tart.
Being my birthday, David has ordered a cake for me, but it never arrives. The table next to ours do get one, and we share theirs. I'm glad mine didn't arrive, as I didn't like it very much (that may not be the fault of the cake - I'm not very fond of cakes)
Favorite Dish: Stir fried beef with black pepper sauce - very tender and absolutely delicious.
