Boat ready for a tour

If you happen to be on the island tour provided by your van/taxi driver, he will drop you off at Pasir Bogak Beach for about half an hour and tell you that "he has to get some pertrol". Conveniently, he has a "friend" at the beach who also offers a boat trip around the infamous Pangkor Laut island resort where famous international celebrities vacation

I didn't go on the boat trip because I've done it before so I was stuck on the beach for that time, which was unknowingly included in my 2-hour island tour.

Unique Suggestions: Just enjoy the beach even though there are no big shops or restaurants to kill your time on

We order some fried noodles for lunch in one of the hawker restaurant in Pangkor town. When, we asked for the bill, we are surprised that our 7 plates of noodles that cost around Rm4 each, cost a total of RM40+? We ask the boss how he calculate. He calculate in front of us and then he apologies that he has counted wrongly. (I noticed that he added additional Rm9 to out bill out of the blue).

Unique Suggestions: Please calculate your bill first before you pay.

Be careful about where you are taken snorkelling

Coral Island - Don't go here for snorkelling

We asked at our accommodation and on the beach about arranging a water tour around the island and a chance to go snorkelling. We paid 150 RM for the trip and were told that we would be taken to several sights and bays - which we were - and that we would be able to go snorkelling.
The ride was picturesque, beautiful islands, bays and rock formations. We were then taken to Coral Island for snorkelling - this would have consisted of jumping into a heavily polluted bay, you could sen the boat fuel floating on the surface, where hundreds of local tourists were walking all over the coral, if there was any, and feeding fish with bread. It was an appalling sight and clearly there was no way we were going to snorkel there. We asked the boat driver to take us to another spot and he just said 'This is where you snorkel'.
Probably the only really disappointing part of our trip to Pulau Pangkor.
There are definitely other snorkelling sites so make sure you ask first to confirm where you are going and definitely say no to Coral Island.

Internet Service

MINI great wall of china

DO NOT use the internet service from the beach cafe, they charge 3x more than the town service charge. Though the distance is about 10mins drive, it's fun to explore the town at the same time.
And the speed is DAMN slow compare to the town services, GET IT??
