Beware of falling coconuts! by robertgaz While you laze away on the beach under the shade of a tall coconut tree you are more than likely blisfully unaware that you have a better chance of being killed by a falling coconut than by a shark. It's just another of the dangers to be aware of on your tropical island escapade! Leave a Comment

Some packages being bundle up with a snorkeling trip to Pulau Giam. Do be careful of those sharp coral as you walk from the beach into the saltwater. Lots of sharp coral awaits before you finally find your perfect spot to glide on water to start snorkel. My group consist of 35 of us, most of them get cuts all over. Recommended to wear dive shoes to avoid major cut although tis is a snorkeling activities. And do ask the boat operator to stated which spot that have lots of sea urchin as some spot do have lot of tis creature that may cause injuries to your feet. Phone: 012-6230441

1) Always be alert. A solo female tourist will always stand out in Pangkor. 2) Keep an eye on your things when you are in the waters. 3) Careful when you walk on the roads. Motorcycles go whizzing by FAST. Also watch out for the vans. Leave a Comment

Be careful when you rental the boat (RM15/ person -including snorkering), don't pay first, ask for theirs 2 HP no. (2 person is better), because they may be forgot to bring you back ! We wait at Pulau Giam about 2 hours, hungry, cold & thirsty ! My god, they never pick up your phone, cause they had limited boat , when you call them, may be they servicing others customers , as earn money as possible !!!

The road northeast of Pangkor is winding and slopy. For motorcycles and bicycles alike, it is hard and can be dangerous to ride there. Hence it's better to use the road along the west coast (Teluk Nipah, Pasir Bogak). Some parts of the northern region beyond the airport has little or no light at night. So be careful when driving. Wear your helmets, especially when you are travelling to the villages or town on motorcycles. You could be fine 50RM by the policemen if they spot you with the helmets. Interestingly, many wear helmets but do not buckle up. Leave a Comment
