Favorite thing: Drive around. Kangar is a small town surrounded by beautiful scenery. Its border with Thailand is fenced by a scenic mountains (Nakawan Range). You can go hiking. Hiking is a very popular activity in kangar, by young and old.
Fondest memory: Food. A blend of local Malay and Thai flovours. Fresh seafood. Assam laksa and "ais kacang".

In Bahasa Malaysia, Kampung means "village". May be, Kangar is not a very small village, but it is the place I being brought up, I still think it is a small Kampung as like my memory since kid's time
