Perlis State Park

Located near the Thai border at Kaki Bukit, this 1,000ha park is a rare gem... Hiking is possible here, just follow the jungle tracks... It is not easy, but it will take you to a lovely waterfall and onwards to the Wang Berma Cave where there is more to explore...

Fishing Time

This is another way of fishing in Timah Tasoh.

During the dry season end of the year, the water level at Timah Tasoh is lowest as you can see the soil. Some of the "part time" fishermen will bring their net to get some catch for extra money.

I am not sure Timah Tasoh Dam is consider as must see activities or off the beaten path... it has not developed as a tourist spot in Perlis, however, I love to visit there everytime I back to Kangar.

As Perlis' wheather is quit different with the other part of Malaysia.... you will get to see the different of Timah Tasoh Dam from time to time... the dry season, the rainning and hot season......

Farmland in Chuping

Close to Chuping (a small town close to Kaki Bukit), there is a largest farmland in Perlis.

As the picture show, the greenish landscape is all under the plantation. It has brought in great economic impact for Perlis

Jungle walk at Gua Kelam

To enter Gua Kelam, every visitor has to pay an entrance fee. However, if you wanna save some money and yet experience more of Gua Kelam, there is an alternative route.

Go the the left side before the entrance, right behind the information office, there is a path going uphill with stairs, end of the path, you are actually in the Gua Kelam park. You can walk into Gua Kelam from the entrance at the other end without paying any entrance fee, but of course you pay by you strenght and effort.

Beware, don't turn left when you see a left junction along the way, it will lead you to another way.

Old Fisherman

Wanna go for a boat ride?? You can try your luck at Timah Tasoh Dam.

It is not commercial, but you can join the local fisherman for a boat ride to the middle of the dam for fishing.

Might be free, might be fee to pay or might be refused. Depends on your luck!
