Penang State Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Batu Kawan, Seberang Perai, Penang, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 people. It was built in 2000. The stadium has been built to host the 8th Sukma Games (Malaysian Games) in 2000. During that time, a massive traffic jam occured as there is only a two lanes road to the stadium. After the completion of the 2nd Penang Bridge and the widen of the old overhead bridge, the traffic flow is smooth now as a few ways lead the traffic to it.
On 11 May, 2014, the Tzu Chi Foundation hold the yearly Wesak day, Tzu Chi day and Mother's day asssembly in Batu Kawan Stadium.
