Yes! Easiest way to Penang is by Airasia. Airfare is available from RM70. Is cheap, convenient and effiecient. You may check the website as i don't work as advertising in Airasia.

There's an International Airport on Penang Island.
There are also plenty of buses to Penang from Kuala Lumpur. Go to Puduraya to choose from. Usually, there will a bus every hour during the daytime.
