Deemed to be the largest shopping mall in Penang, but not all shops are opened. A girl can find almost everything she wants in this mall, mostly knick knacks at reasonable prices. There's a departmental store, supermarket, a cinema, variety of small eats shops, computer & dvd shops, hair & beauty salons, etc..
What to buy:
Mostly casual clothes, fancy handbags & accessories, DVDs.
What to pay:
Most prices are fixed, but can still try to bargain 10% discount.
Pragin Mall is quite a big mall. It will take you at least one whole day to do window shopping.
What to buy:
Clothes, Pharmacy, Saloon, Cafe, Restaurants, Giant supermarket, Local Haker Food ......almost everything you need can be found here.
On my last trip I did most of my shopping at Gurney Plaza but I prefer the Island Plaza on Jln. Tanjung Tokong that is less crowded. You can find many of the same shops in both malls, for example, Factory Outlet Stores, Mango, and Vinci. Thereýs also the Midlands Park Centre at Burmah Road.
you can find almost everything here under one roof. books, ladies & gents garments, gifts, shoes, food...etc
What to buy:
pirated dvd 9 for only RM10-RM15.
pirated vcd for RM5
pirated games for PS as well as cd... go and check it out urself, you won't be regretted.
further more, for ladies... with only RM10 could get you a new pair of sandles or a t-shirt.
one of the earliest skycrapper in Penang, and still is the tallest building in Penang. There are four levels of shops inside the podium offer for bargain. And there are two supermarket in adjacent with the podium, that is Lifestyle and Super Komtar. The other four are One-Stop, Bukit Jambul Complex, Island Plaza and Bahagia Complex. There are variety of shops in each shopping complex offers a variety of high quality products.
Kompleks Bukit Jambul is a RM350 million complex featuring more then 400 shops, a hypermarket, eateries, a state-of-the-art cineplex and 40-lane bolwing alley.
Sunway Carnival Mall has become the latest landmark and attraction in the Seberang Jaya. which had a built up area of 800,000 square feet.
Mega Mall Pinang is the largest shopping mall on the mainland of Penang. It offers an exclusive with its mix of local retail outlets.
This is the latest shopping mall in town. The coming up shopping mall is times-square which is still under construction.
If you stay at Batu Feringgi side, except Super Tanjung, Gurney Plaza is the nearest shopping mall. It is situated at Gurney Drive. There is a cinema inside, is Golden cinema if I am not mistaken.
