PENANG BRIDGE, Penang
When 1980's when the Penang Bridge was opened, photographers took photo of the bridge from different angles and the many of them, especially the night bridge photos were made to postcards.
At the 1980's, travellers can easily parked their vehicles at the side and stood up on the bridge divider to have a solo or even group photo, at that time, the traffic were much much lesser than now.
Today, the traffic flow on the bridge is always busy, it is a serious traffic offend if you stop not because of emergency.
To travelers who want to take photo of Penang Bridge, get ready your camera, ask the driver to slow down a little bit, take a few snaps at the angles you wish. Remember to keep driving.
Penang Bridge was officially opened to traffic on September 14, 1985. The total length of the bridge is 13.5 km (8.4 miles), making it the longest bridge in Malaysia as and the fourth-longest in Southeast Asia and the ninth longest bridge in the world.

You can try waiting for the Rapid Penang Bus 704 or 705 leaving Komtar terminus. I waited and waited but it never came. Who knows, you may be luckier than I.
If the bus doesn't come, you can haggle with a taxi driver for a reasonable price to take you there and back again just so that you can tell everyone that you have done it! That's what my friends did. Be prepared! Don't use the meter in case there is a jam on the bridge. Seems that jams on the bridge are normal daily events.

Now the bridge is here giving conveniency to people from both sides, this story was forgotten by most of the people except my mother at home..haha
