Closely on the cave walls now...to have a clear look on the stalagtites that I was talking about.
Nature has been playing marvelously in Batu Caves & they look really nice, being preserved for us all to see !
from the upper cave looking down...very nice sight !
We can see the area down below & people walking in & out to enter or rather to climb up the upper cave...
Notice the cave walls as well...
As from the previous photo, a statue welcoming us...
There are steps to go up as well.
I wonder why the steps are marked red & white...maybe they should be visible in the dark ?
Actually, the steps to enter the Batu Caves from the ground are also red-white colours...but with numbers to let you know how many steps you have to climb to enter Batu Caves.
Okay, I had to capture this photo to let you guys see a larger scope of the area.
Taken from the small temple...towards the cave walls, you could see all those people, locals & tourists meandering around the area on this upper cave inside Batu Caves...
This is a funny photo !
We can see the hand-painted white cave walls;...The green moss thing..& err the blue toilet !
At least we can see the area with a larger scope right ? Hence, me capturing the blue toilet ! Sorry...
Oh No ! The cave walls again !...
Yes....why not ?!
This looks different from the cave walls that I took photos at, right ?
I think these walls were hand-painted white...not sure.
Maybe to protect the walls from the moss, the green moss that you could clearly see on the photo...
There's a shrine somewhere in the upper cave...Very Indian !
Normally when we look at this shrine, we would think of the Indian people...with all their methos & religious stories...
Can't say anything more than that 'cos I'm shallow in Indian mithology...but this a part of Malaysian life that makes up of my proud country Malaysia !
This is the area on the upper cave inside Batu Caves !
With people lounging around...Some people sitting at the small temple; Some looking at the opening hole on top of the cave; Some just looking at the walls...& we have seen them all, right ? (from my previous few photos !).
Tired of looking at the cave walls now ?! You guys should be...
Anyway, here's the last of the cave wall inside Batu Cave, as opposed to the cave walls of Batu Caves from the outside, which you can also see from my photos below, if you are still interested in them walls...
When you are in the upper cave, just look up & you can see this opening on top of the cave !
Very nice it is too..as the sunlight comes in through the big hole from the top of the cave...& 'shines' on us below !
This was taken in the upper cave, as were the 2 previous photo !
There are more monkeys to be seen...yes, we can throw foods at them, normally peanuts.
Just be careful, they could get angry at times if not getting anything from you !
This is certainly one of my favourite photos taken inside Batu Caves !
It sort of captured the ambience inside the caves...with people, lights & cave walls...all rolled into one amazing photo !
Amazing capture for an amateurish like me !
Let us continue with the sights inside Batu Caves...that I managed to capture.
There are small statues adorning the walls inside Batu Caves.
Mainly Indian of course because this is a sacred place for the Hindus...in Malaysia or rather South East Asia...
The photo shows a small temple, also we could see the untouched cave walls...& a few tourists looking around...& where's my Swedish friend ?
Proper Attire: Well, being that this is a cave fashioned as a Hindu shrine, I suppose a nice colourful Sari would be as appropriate as anything...
Don't forget your sun parasol, as the mid day Malay sun can be harsh...
Best watch were you sit at the caves, as the pigeon popluation probably outnumbers the monkeys by about 100 to 1. And, as such, pigeon droppings are in no short supply at Batu Caves...
Kinda like this picture of them sitting on the Elephant head, though...
