Luggage and bags: As simple as you can. Make sure keep your belongings secured from those monkey bandits.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Handkerchief or tissue papers. You will need it when 'hiking' those stairs.

    Photo Equipment: Camera, Tripod.

Miscellaneous: You may bring your glasses along but beware of those monkeys.

Luggage and bags: it is better to leave your back packs or carry on bags in your tour van (if you are on a private tour) as it is hard to walk along a steep flights of stairs cayying heavy stuff unless you are a soldier!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: remember, there are actually 2 flights of stairs going up the main temple cave, the 272 steps to the entrance and another 50 irregular steps going to the main temple inside the cave!

you can wear flip flops, crocs, havianas or even leather shoes if you want, but till the best way to navigate the steps going to the main temple cave is via hiking boots or rubber shoes.

Photo Equipment: bring them all on! your DLSR, Point and Shoot, Powerful Optical Ultra Zoom Cameras, Camcorders, Smart Phones, Tablets and what have you.

Miscellaneous: you will be sweating a lot going up and down, it is better to drink electroylt replacement drinks and water before you hike up. there are souvenir stores at the top selling bottled water and other drinks too!
