Cheras Favorites

Favorite thing: Picture is a local's terrace being modified into a grandiose Greco-Roman style of dwelling. This is very much in trend in Malaysia today, peoples become rich and they wanted to see themselves living with these big columns once rule by Julius. These columns can be bought so easily in any construction framework supply shops. They mass produce in mold to sell at cheap prices, majority Cherasian can afford to install some at home.

Favorite thing: This is a lake garden located at Bandar Tun Razak, no entrance fee needed, its free. The garden has many peoples mostly senior citizens, they went in early morning to exercise and younger ones can jog dance and some play tai chi, qi gong etc. Kids also involve but they busy with the fishes and turtles, to fish illegal is their job here.

Favorite thing: Almost every Saturday in taman-tamans of Cheras has this local street vendors gathering to sell whatever they have. Anybody can bring their products, foods, anything to setup a temporary stall to display whatever you have to sell. Some peoples without stall or rack, they just stand with a tray or they just put a piece of ground sheet. It starts 7pm to 10.30pm, so if tourists have anything to sell, just bring it over to join the crowd, very enjoyable. This is called Pasar Malam by Malaysian.

Favorite thing: Located at Bandar Tun Razak is a Sports Complex. A good scale Olympic sized swimming pool (photo) RM1.00 per entrance with session began 2pm-4.30pm and 6pm-8.30pm. There's a gym centre for body builders RM2.00 per entry located next to the swimming pool. A big stadium is here as well and a nice green lake garden at the back. Further 500 meters down has a Velodrome.

Favorite thing: Cheras is so big, I just pick a spot and I snap some photos to build tips. This photo is a common scene two ladies walking on the street not for us to see but its okay to see because looking at peoples is everybody's rights, no harm to look.

Favorite thing: In the lake garden has so many flowers to look at. Here is one I saw so beautiful that day to capture it live for you, I think this is belong to the Canna family.
