Cheras Local Customs

This gate of moden temple is made of this meterial, not what you think those in the movies. Modern art can be anything you like, temple is also going the art way to accept all changes. This is a terrace house temple, latest.

This is another Modern temple in Cheras' residential area. You can see the Buddhism logos here, that's probably the THT (terrace house temple)'s way of religious belief, to self advertise I guess. You are welcome to pray here.

Street dining is absolutely accustomed, everybody seem quite happy and normal to eat on the parking line. Cars have to give way for peoples dining here. Sometimes cars and peoples cramped together as one. Local custom for sure.

This is one part of the modern temple, the traditional part maybe. Built in front of the terrace house temple is this red traditional thing, for incense sticks burning for good fortune to you.

Street art is seen here in Cheras, in a wall. This is not common in Kuala Lumpur but seem quite in demand around Cheras residential area.

Besides THT (terrace house temple), we also have AT (Apartment temple). Here in photo is an apartment-temple in traditional color of red. This location is part of Cheras, nearby Taman Connaught.
