Cheras Travel Guide

 l_joo Says:  Besides THT (terrace house temple), we also have AT (Apartment temple). Here in photo is an apartment-temple in traditional color of red. This location is part of Cheras, nearby Taman Connaught. 

 l_joo Says:  This is another Modern temple in Cheras' residential area. You can see the Buddhism logos here, that's probably the THT (terrace house temple)'s way of religious belief, to self advertise I guess. You are welcome to pray here. 

 l_joo Says:  This is one part of the modern temple, the traditional part maybe. Built in front of the terrace house temple is this red traditional thing, for incense sticks burning for good fortune to you. 

 l_joo Says:  This gate of moden temple is made of this meterial, not what you think those in the movies. Modern art can be anything you like, temple is also going the art way to accept all changes. This is a terrace house temple, latest. 

 l_joo Says:  Too rigid-minded probably to think that temple must be constructed the red red curly curly rooftop way, not today anymore. Here in Cheras, residents already accepted to pray in modern house, terrace house turned temple is the latest local custom of Malaysian-Chinese. 

 l_joo Says:  Street dining is absolutely accustomed, everybody seem quite happy and normal to eat on the parking line. Cars have to give way for peoples dining here. Sometimes cars and peoples cramped together as one. Local custom for sure. 

 l_joo Says:  Street art is seen here in Cheras, in a wall. This is not common in Kuala Lumpur but seem quite in demand around Cheras residential area. 

 l_joo Says:  Street garbage and factories is seen here in Jalan Awana. I saw many foreign workers and many construction workers at this location, many low cost apartments. 

 l_joo Says:  I drove and I saw garbage being dumped everywhere in Jalan Awana and surroundings. Cheras residents? What can we do, any idea? 

 l_joo Says:  Here is the street name Jalan Awana, This area is perhaps resided some foreign workers and many low cost apartments, garbage dumping on street is their habit, what can be done? 

 l_joo Says:  Too many street garbage until somebody decided to place two pink sofas here to have some tea, maybe. 

 l_joo Says:  Street garbage, more street garbage.......The location is Cheras' Jalan Awana, somewhere in Taman Cuepacs and ALL THE SURROUNDINGS, unbelievable. 

 l_joo Says:  Street garbage of Jalan Awana 14 and surroundings is perhaps beyond believe to extreme extent, look for yourself. Residents and factory workers or construction workers, all dumped garbage here, worst they burn on the street. The blue standing sigpost is " Do not dump garbage... 

 l_joo Says:  Jalan Awana 14 and surrounding roads are almost 'hopeless' to see garbage being dumped this way across the street, displaying some kind of resident's dissatisfactory I guess, or they just okay with this.

 l_joo Says:  In the lake garden has so many flowers to look at. Here is one I saw so beautiful that day to capture it live for you, I think this is belong to the Canna family.
