Shopping Galore at Sunway Pyramid Mall

by machomikemd Written Jun 18, 2014

Favorite thing: being a major suburban area and hosting Malaysia's Largest Theme Park Complex, it is just logical to have a Big Mall as one of the major attractions to the area and for shopaholic tourists like us the wolfpac, Sunway Pyramid Mall is a shoppers mecca full of mid range to high end products (found at Parkson's outlet). The best deal here is that many tenants around the mall complex offer discounts and promos to shoppers as there are more than 800 tenants around the mall complex ranging from the luxe (Parkson's) to the mid range like Coach, L' Occitane, Victoria's Secret, The Body Shop, Mango, Guess, to name a few.

Fondest memory: soo many shops to see and discounts to have at the Sunway Pyramid Mall

    Automated Machine Tellers (ATM's)

by machomikemd Updated Jun 16, 2014
    4 more images

Favorite thing: if you are at the Bandar Sunway area and short on cash, you can withdraw money at the many ATM machines around the Bandar Sunway Area and Sunway Pyramid Mall.

BUT a word of caution, if your are not the type who wants pass on charges on withdrawing money through international Automated Machines and rather use your credit cards to save on withdrawal fees, then just use your credit cards ok. Like in major cities, the ATM's here are mostly affiliated to international consortiums like Plus or Discover or Cirrus. Again a caveat, when you withdraw money via atms, there are 2 pass on charges (the first is by your local bank in your country and the second is the local bank here in Malaysia) so I would recommend you withdraw large sums since the charges are the same whether you withdraw a pitiful amount or a large one.

Fondest memory: Maybank, CIMB and other Malaysian Banks have many ATM's Here

by machomikemd Updated Jun 16, 2014

Favorite thing: there are numerous money exchange shops in and around the Petaling Jaya and inside the Sunway Pyramid Mall, and an advice for the wise: as much as possible, do not change your currency to malaysian ringgit at Bandar Sunway hotels since they give the lowest exhange rates , you're best bet to change your local currency into Malaysian Ringgit will be in Money Shops in Big Malls especially in the huge Sunway Pyramid Mall as they give the best exchange rates for other currencies.

Fondest memory: a tip: at present the exchange rate of 1 US Dollar is 3.15 Malaysian Ringgit.

    Have to pay road tolls

    by l_joo Written Apr 3, 2004
    Pay road tolls

Favorite thing: Very common culture, when you are in Malaysia, driving on highway has to pay tolls. Nobody can escape unless you ride a motorbike or a bicycle.

To eat at Kayu Nasi Kandar, one must pay at least one road toll before he/she can taste the Kayu.
