Sunway Lagoon is pretty big and after you have tired yourself out playing & swimming all day, you'd hardly have the strength to walk all the way back to the car park. Fear not! The folks at Sunway Lagoon have thoughtfully put in an escalator that will take you from the Water Park towards the exit/entrance and from there, it is a short walk to the car park. If you want to move around the Bandar Utama areas, it's a big area you know !..It is advisable to take a taxi. There are taxis lined up waiting for passengers at One Utama Shopping Complex, so tell them where you want to go & make sure the meter is on ! If you have your own transport, it's better but better still ask somebody, a local maybe to do the driving for you. Simply because the roads in city areas of Kuala Lumpur is not safe for you to drive on ! Leave a Comment Theme: Other |
The Parking Sign near the One Utama Shopping Complex...RM 1 there, equals to about USD 0.25; Still, people prefer to park by the road sides when doing their shopping in this area. The parking areas for One Utama have 2 levels but always full especially during the weekends... Leave a Comment Theme: Other |
Getting there is very simple and convenient. Petaling Jaya is highly accessible by both road and rail. Just hop onto any PUTRA LRT train and you will be transported swiftly in aircon comfort from Taman Jaya Station to Kelana Jaya station as part of PJ. Of course, you can also drive there, take a taxi or maybe even take a bus (you may have to walk a little bit longer though :-)). Leave a Comment Theme: Train |
For those of you who wish to use the free shuttle bus to/from One Utama Shopping Centre, here's the timetable. The LRT is versatile as it takes you all the way to the suburban parts of KL. But as far as travelling within PJ is concerned, it adequately takes to you Taman Jaya,Taman Bahagia and Kelana Jaya. Prices are alright but they are constantly on the rise. Arm yourself with a Touch n Go card and you cannot go wrong. Else it is great to go by car (taxi fares could be exorbitant) and I would give the busses a miss. Theme: Other |
T he LRT Putra line is quick and easy to use and will take you to the centre of KL From the Hilton in PJ the nearest station is Taman Jaya. Turn left from the entrance and walk past the Nestle headquarters walking uphill. As yo clear the buildings you will see the overhead LRT line. Follow the line until you come to the station. Useful stations along the route are KL Sentral link with the KTM railway, Pasar Seni for Chinatown is handy for the craft market and Petaling Street Pasar Malam (night market). If you are a shopaholic KLCC is probably the place for you to get off and visit the malls in this area. It is also a good place to see the famed Petronas towers. |
Budding surfers who can't travel to Bali or Australia may want to visit Sunway Lagoon. Although I don't surf, I find that it's still fun to watch the surfers there. On weekends, you can see them competing hard to see who can top the other in showing off their moves. For the less adventurous, there's lots of fun to be had at the wave pool. The water there is heated and it is so comfortable to soak in it, and be gently bounced around by the man-made waves. The Park's entrance is being refurbished. At the moment, the Park's Ticketing Counter & Entrance is temporarily located on LEVEL 3 of the Multi-storey Car Park, which also serves the Pyramid Shopping Centre and Sunway Convention Centre. Tickets may be purchased for ALL PARK or WATER PARK. Chidren aged 3-12 and senior citizens have a discounted ticket. Children below 3 enter for free. Opening Hours: Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri 11 am - 6pm Sat, Sun, School & Public Hol 10 am - 6pm Closed on Tuesdays except during Malaysian school holidays and public holidays I personally prefer just the Water Park because my kids & I don't enjoy the roller coaster or fast rides. They're too young for most of the rides available in the Dry Park. Also, we're all water babies!!
