White Water Rafting
Sungai Selangor is located in Kuala Kubu Baru (or KKB)... It is one of the white water country which includes Padas and Kiulu (in Sabah), Sedim (in Kedah), Kampar (in Perak) or Jeeram Besu (in Pahang)... Sungai Selangor is still rated from gard 1 to 4 despite the construction of the Sungai Selangor Dam in the late 1990s... grade 4 is when the water level goes up and the rapids become more challenging to rafters)...The 8km adventure starts with a cruise to Flip Corner where all rafters get into the water for a confidence exercise and to practise what they have learnt at a 20-mins safety briefing earlier... The challenge then teases with small, tame rapids before the ride on the first drop at First Canyon... here, guides are on stand-by with rescue ropes...Next is the Chicken Drop - the drop that pushes the raft down for it to float high before hitting a stone wall..
