Johol Travel Guide

I was on my way from Kuala Pilah to Tampin town and stop by this small town called Johol.

My appearance in this town is quite high profile one for the following reasons.
- one loud red color, never seen before Jeep brand vehicle arrive and the driver ask for Coke with some funny slang (in Hokkien)
- one silly driver of that red thing aiming and shutter happy at old buildings that most people taking for granted
- the driver also taking photographs of almost everything in this small town

I hope you enjoy the brief Johol Tour. My next destination is Tampin, which is my last destination before I reach home to celebrate my niece’s 1 year old birthday.

The communication tower explains that communication with bigger cities and for bigger exchange is possible. People here are living in contentment and no hurry as compare to city folks like us.

Some shops are going through restoration before the owner can safely use it for business again. I believe Johol will maintain these buildings for very long while from now.

I’m purposely taking this photo in strange angle so that you will not finish the Johol Virtual tour too fast.

The two shops in the picture are probably the earliest concrete shop lots being constructed in Johol town. They are dated 1919 and the front doors are no longer of wood panels and replaced with metal doors for practicality reason.

The main street of Johol is made up of two rows of pre-war shop lots. Many of them built dated as early as 1919.

2 major reasons why I stop by this town are:
- to make @rie green with envy for not visited this town
- to get my regular 100Plus & Coke supplements!!
