This can either be a must see activity tip or an accomodation tip.
The Avillion Village Resort could be added to the must see places in PD, even if its just for a short look-see visit. As PD's only resort build almost entirely on stilts, the ambience and view from its reception area to its resort is quite interesting. While here, check out the various displays of Negeri Sembilan culture and tradition stuffs scattered all over the resort, such as the bullock cart and the musical instruments for Cak Lempong.
Another resort on stilts is currently under cosntruction in PD but I doubt it will be as interesting as Avillion Village Resort.

We manage to drive up to the bottom of the lighthouse in PD which is known as Cape Rsahdo or Tanjung Tuan. But we did not quite make it up there. We changed our minds after we were told it was a 20min walk up. I can assure you we did not go up cause we were with 3 kids who were sure would groan after 5 mins or so. Or perhaps it was my wobbling knees and legs looking for an any excuse to avoid the climb up....

Before heading to the Avillion Village Resort, we had buffet as dinner at jetboat club. The building is colonial style and has big balcony to view the sea. The ambience is somehow like in the second world war. It's old and sollowful...

Port Dickson offer one of the best beach getaways from KL-southward. It's very convenient & ones can enjoy really beautiful sunset at PD's beach.
Just about an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, what can you ask for more?

Teluk Kemang beach is the most popular beach for weekend visitors to Port Dickson among the other beaches along the 18km strech of Port Dickson's coastline. It is not suprising then as Teluk Kemang is quite touristy and has better facilities as compared to the other beaches. Apart from the usual eateries and changing / shower roam commonly found in most beaches, Port Dickson's town square with a Tourist Information Centre and open air stage are also located here. For accomodations, there are plenty of hotels and chalets in Teluk Kemang vicinity - some of them are just walking distance to the beach.
Here water sports and beach activities are abound here. You can enjoy beach volleyball, canoeing, speed boat rides, banana funboat rides & beach buggy ride. The beach is not that clean and rather crowded with families picknicking and school-children playing water and sand.
Beach-goers beware: There's no free seating on the beach chair here, you have to rent it. One set of four beach chairs and an umbrella costs you RM15.
