There's nothing much in the Port Dickson town. Only lots of kampung houses. No shopping centres. If you want to go to those restaurants outside of the hotel, it's better to drive or take a cab.

Cab is Malaysia should be quite cheap.

If you intend to play with sand, be very sure that the sand is wet & packed. Or you may need to winch yourself out of the sand.

Better still if you tow your ATV here. My pals always tows his private jetski here for some late evening jetsking and we will get drunk by night.

@rie is doing a good job taking this Jeep ads picture @PD.

Nah! It's just our transport to PD before we adjourned to Melaka.

In Malaysia, you can rent a Suzuki or Pajero but you'll never get to rent a Wrangler because only 80 units of Wrangler YJ assembled in Malaysia, few TJ being imported by diplomats and slightly more than 70 units of YJ either owned by poor guys like me or have been heavily modified by datos as weekend cars.

Getting into PD from all directions

40 minutes south of the KLIA on a good road, passing the Sepang F1 track and the sleepy village of Sepang.
30 minutes east of Seremban on the old road (good), via Mambau.
20 minutes east of Seremban on the new (toll) highway, turn at Jusco Shopping Complex.
60 minutes north of Melaka on a good road.
3 1/2 hours by ferry from Dumai, Sumatra.

By 2008/09, the komuter train is expected to re-open from KL Sentral to Port Dickson, via Seremban. At the moment it stops at Seremban.

The good thing about PD is that you can by-pass KL (haha) and drive straight from the KLIA to PD and then (if you want) continue on to Melaka on the coastal road all the way.
A very nice drive with very little traffic.

A highly recommended alternative to chasing jet planes and crazy drivers down the main north/south highway.

Firstly, get onto the NSE (E2) from JB traveling north towards KL.

Exit the E2 at Exit 219 Port Dickson. Keep right after paying the toll. You will end up in Seremban if you keep left.

Soon you will come to the Mambau toll which is the entrance to the new Seremban-Port Dickson Highway abbreviated as SPDH (E29).

Soon you will reach a traffic light controlled T-junction. Turn right here. Drive on until you come to another traffic light controlled T-junction.

Here you can either turn left or right depending on where you accomodation is located.

If u r from KL by car, there are 2 ways to reach PD. 1. by Sungai Besi Highway > Seremban > Port Dickson Highway (direct to Teluk Kemang or to Lukut)
2. Puchong > KLIA highway > Sepang > Lukut (this is an old road but a lot of Palm trees, also nice view) I shall attached one... > finally is to PD...there is a long long way to go for the beach, u shd decide which miles to stop...
