Hello there. It's not everyday that one get to write about a society building or grounds but this is one write-up of this society. This is the Muslim Revert's Association of Negeri Sembilan, a Malaysian state south of Kuala Lumpur. It's is located in a quiet side road in Seremban town, Negeri Sembilan's capital.
What's great then? It is build to simulate in miniture the Xi An Mosque in Xinqiang China. It has a pagoda instead of a minaret and build in the traditional Chinese style. It struck me as unique as many mosques are built with onion -like domes in the Indo-Persian style. Even the Kremlim took those ques what with its stylised domes...
The association conducts classes in Mandarin and Arabic plus provided scholarships for poor students of various ethnic backgrounds. So you find Malay faces there alongside Chinese (Han) faces. Its surroundings are tranquil, a total contrast to the hum of the city outside its gates.
If anyone else wants to see a different side of Malaysia, off-the-beaten path, this is probably it or one of it.
