Throughout Malaysian towns, and Seremban included, a pasar malam can be found almost every night.
Maybe the biggest pasar malam in Seremban can be found at Ampangan, 2 km from the city centre.
Here you can see the locals buying their food, clothing, the occasional pirated CD and a wide range of other daily needs.
They are not for tourists. This is where the average working class buy their produce because generally, it's cheaper than alsewhere.
The "pasar besar" (big market) is held in the city centre and a few smaller ones exist in the suburbs.
For most western tourists, these "wet markets" are a bit of a culture shock. Watch the chicken killed as you order. The smell may scare you if you're not warned.!!
It's a great experience and why i recommend Malaysia before other S.E.A places coz it's a lot cleaner and more hygeinic (believe it or not).
Again, here is where the fruit, vegies and meats are sold., best time to visit is in the mornings between 7am and 11.30am.
This is a cultural visit to see how the locals buy their foods. It's not your average grocery store.!!
