If you are driving into Terengganu via Cukai, you may want to know that petrol in Terengganu is 1 sen/liter more expensive than other parts of Malaysia (due to transportation costs). It's RM1.92/ltr elsewhere but RM1.93/ltr in Terengganu. So fill up before you cross the Terengganu border! If you are coming from Kuantan, there is a Shell petrol station on your right just before the Terengganu arch. That's the place I usually filled up.
And beware when driving in Terengganu because cows are the kings of the road. Give way to crossing cows, bulls, goats and wild boars! You wouldn't want to mess with them. Don't honk as the cows may go beserk!
