Most people come all the way just to visit this beautiful island. So why not do so when you were already in Terengganu? You won’t be disappointed! You can book the chalet & the boat at the office nearby the jetty at Marang. The fare for the boat is around RM40/- (To & fro)
When you were already in Kuala Terengganu, it’s much easier to go to all the island nearby like Redang, Perhentian, Tenggol etc. don’t miss your chance to do so. You’ll regret it later! The water is crystal clear & so inviting for you to dive in!
Terengganu is not just blessed with beaches & beautiful islands but also waterfall.
If you have more time in Terengganu, do visit some of the waterfall.
One of our favorite is the Sekayu waterfall.
This is a real "Off The Beaten Path" location and I found this place by accident. Of course by spending extra time finding this bridge let me found out the origin of keropok losong/lekor as well.
I was turning into so called exit road after visiting the museum and found out the alternate road was locked. I noticed one beautiful mosque across the river, so I got down to take some pictures of the river. Then I saw a wooden bridge up stream about 1/2 km from my location. My travel pal (& navigator) suggest that we should find out the bridge and basing on our navigation skills gained so far, we think it should be one exit before the museum. After spending about 10 mins with multiple attempts and reversing of car, I present to you these pictures.
This is some kind of cheap trills I enjoyed during my road trips by checking out some ordinary places with extraordinary scenery.
Bukit Keledang is a small hill on the edge of Kuala Terengganu town. Unlike Bukit Puteri which is well maintained and well known among the locals or visitors to Kuala Terengganu, Bukit Keledang seems being neglected all this while. It is believed that Bukit Keledang used to be the burial ground for some of Terengganu's earlier rulers. There are a few old tombs here on top of the hill, most of them are partly damaged and unrecogniseable.
ONe would think a market is just a market- but if you happen to be there, check out the view from the Caferteria on the 2nd floor.
