Clear viz

The viz at Lang Tengah is generally clear at about 15-20m during the time I was there ( Mar05) but I was told that a couple of weeks before, it sucked due to a slight swell. Current conditions were ok, but could be a tad strong at times. Was also told there is a wreck nearby...

Diving in Redang Lang Resort was good for us. I don't really know whethere we received a discount on account on the chummy time we had with the resort owner but he charged us only RM70 per tank! On top of that, his BCs (Oceanic) were almost new, as were his wetsuits (Oceanic ) but we had our own wetsuits (Oz brand- Bare) so we didn't use theirs. Our dive master was good too. Jimmy, our DM, was a jovial and chubby fella who showed us around the waters and told us lots of diving stories later.

Even though Lang Tengah was a tiny place, there were lots of dive sites. But being the perennial sloths that we were, hubby and I only checked out #1(Karang Nibong, max depth - 26m) and the #11(House Reef - 18m?) . Though both dive sites weren't exceptional, we felt happy to be in the waters again. We saw fat pufferfish, colourful nudibranch, a really big trevally, etc.
