every beach trip involves some drinking and at redang, its mostly beer. there are quite little choices available just the usual like tiger, carlsberg heineken etc. if you're staying at redang bay resort i suggest you get your beer from the shop nearest to the canteen. it is selling for abt 7+ rm per can rather than at the supposed lounge where it is sold for 9+ rm.
and for souvenirs such as t-shirts and keychains etc, it is advisable to get them from the jetty where you alight from the bus straight after you get there. there are a lot more choices than from the shops at the resort itself.
the locals at the jetty are very helpful and friendly! :D

Well, the More More Tea Inn looks nice, about the best looking souveniur shop in Redang Island, and it has a tea house at it's second floor... All you can, and should do around here, is take pictures... don't buy anything... it's too expensive!!! I'm a Malaysian, I do feel it's really expensive... even for a foreignor...
Unique Suggestions: Unless, you are loaded during your travels... go ahead... their prices are fixed by the resort and the people selling there can't do a thing to help you save some money...
Fun Alternatives: Wait till you are back in mainland at Terengganu... there you can get it a lot cheaper with more discounts... buy more and they give cheaper prices...
