Turtle laying eggs

It could be lucky if you are at the season of turtle laying eggs. I had an experience seeing the turtle laying eggs. The lights and generators of the island will be turn off. Sit and wait patiently to allow the turtle to come ashore.
Once you hear the sound that the turtle is digging the hole, you have to crawl slowly and quietly, not too near it. When the sound stops, crawl slowly to it and shine the hole with a small torch. Wow! You can see the eggs coming out one by one.
Remember, just watch. Don't steal any eggs.....

It is also fun to go around the rocky part of the island. Not forget to visit the peak to have to look of the lagoon. Just make sure you take your camera to capture some nice and beautiful moments.

Tenggol Island Beach Resort: Don't expect luxury

Tenggol Island Beach Resort: Don't expect luxury, Pulau Tenggul

divecat1978 Says:  Well, accommodation in this island is a bit basic. The resort had limited rooms and most of the time are fully booked during the peak season, school holidays or public holidays. They also provide campground for those who want to build their own camp.

Transportation

Self drive with some buddy

If driving license is valid, I can suggest self drive. At least I can go to the washroom when I needed a stop. However, getting some buddy to come along would be more appropriate unless you are a midnight owl. Used to travel around 3.30am and took me 5 hours to reach.

Express bus from KL

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I always get a bus from the Putra Terminal ( near The Mall/ Pan Pacific Hotel ) at 9.30 or 10.00pm. From there, the bus will travel night up to Kuala Terengganu. So, it is advisable to inform the driver that you want to get off at Dungun. With the bus having a few stop along the way, it is hardly sleep well.
