KL has a vibrant night life but it's not without some prohibitions. Discos, pubs & bars must close before 2 am to prevent the drunk driving. I mean if those drivers want to die, they could do before 2 am, easy to clean the mess. By 3 am, people just want to crawl up to bed & be in heaven (sleep). Drunk driving is a serious problem here. I just have to be blunt about it. Again & again, if you want to drive, don't ever drink alcohol ! |

There is no shortage of nightlife in K.L. There are night clubs and karaoke bars, discos... whatever you want. I was taken to 2 in one night right in KL but I can't remember their names, one I didn't like anyway. One great night I did have with my colleagues was out somewhere near Bandar Utama. I believe the place was call 'Rasta' (photo). It was just in a small block of shop houses but such a great band and a great 'local' night. |

Nightspots in Kuala Lumpur are abundant. The pub scene is at a few key areas: BANGSAR Located in the suburbs of KL. You can take a train there. Be sure to use the Putra LRT and stop off at the Bangsar Station. A ride on the Putra costs RM 1.20 from city center. You can ride the feeder bus to where the clubs are. They cost 50 sen. A taxi there from city center costs about RM5. What's there -Starbucks Coffee -The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf -Modesto's - Pizza, Pub, Dance, Alcohol -Rox - Dance, Alcohol -The Roof - Pub lots of Italian restaurants. You should try Devi Anapurna and Analakshmi for great Indian food. Fast Food -McDonald's -Kenny Roger's Roasters -Nandos ______________________________ Bintang Walk Located in the heart of the city on Jalan Bukit Bintang. The go kart track on the outskirts of Johor Bahru. This is a must for anyone who loves speed. The track is well laid out and the staff appear to be very professional. It is easy to hire a kart ... or if you are lucky your friend may own his own! Wear something sensible that won't get caught anywhere while you are driving around. |
