Rasta Bar: A Great Night Out - Bandar Utama

by keeweechic

There is no shortage of nightlife in K.L. There are night clubs and karaoke bars, discos... whatever you want. I was taken to 2 in one night right in KL but I can't remember their names, one I didn't like anyway. One great night I did have with my colleagues was out somewhere near Bandar Utama. I believe the place was call 'Rasta' (photo). It was just in a small block of shop houses but such a great band and a great 'local' night.

in the evening you may want to entertain yourself by shopping :)) bargains can be made at the busy outdoor bazaars, where you can find almost every kinds of souvenirs, from original malay articrafts to ralph lauren reproductions. pirate cd's and dvd's you can find really cheaply, as well as nice jewelery. these bazaars are likely to get you bargains, unlike the cool shopping malls, which are really highly priced(many of the malls owned by japanese companies). even though not so expensive, after a month in malaysia i continued my trip to HK with fairly empty pockets....and an extra suitcase ;))

Speeding Paradise

by cheekymarieh

The go kart track on the outskirts of Johor Bahru. This is a must for anyone who loves speed. The track is well laid out and the staff appear to be very professional. It is easy to hire a kart ... or if you are lucky your friend may own his own! Wear something sensible that won't get caught anywhere while you are driving around.

I luv the nightlife in KL...it seems to be more 'alive' than singapore...at 1am in the morning...traffic jam at Jln Ramlee and Bangsar for party goers ...and at 3am in the morning...there are still crowd on the road...that's wat i meant in NightLIFE...:) To hav an eye-opener of KL's nightspots...i visited a few : Emporium, Beach Club, Bali, Viva, Nouvo and some pubs like Bar Flam and Finnegans at Bangsar. My favourite had been Emporium, but tat was more than 1 year ago b4 its renovation..but heard things are different after tat...still yet to find out..hehe. Presently, I am still looking for one tat i really enjoy. One tat i can see the crowd really dancing rather than just people watching...any one has any recommendations?Besides the crowd and life and watever...one thing i find it more worthwhile is to drink my fav lambogini at KL joints....hehe....it costs slightly cheaper than...

As the garden city comes alive...

by girlinworld

As the garden city comes alive in a blaze of multi-coloured lights, Kuala Lumpur beats to the pulsating rhythm of its nightlife. True to its image of a sophisticated cosmopolitan city, Kuala Lumpur offers the visitor a variety of lively entertainment, come nightfall. There's jazz, and country and western at the pubs while DJ's spin contemporary hits and favourites of yesteryears at the discos and resident singers croon evergreens at cosy lounges. Or perhaps you might prefer to live out your 'dreams' with a little bit of help from the 'karaoke' or cha-cha your way to oblivion, to the catchy Latin American beat at some of our famous nightclubs and cabarets.

by jasc_chia

There isn't many night activities as most of them will close at 12. The only place you can hang around is at the Beach Bar. Although there is a Disco call Bali Hai but you'll be surprise that they open from 10:30pm until 12:00pm. Worst thing is, party hours will only start after the dining hours. The disco will only open when all the customers finish dining! Pathetic!

Hard Rock cafe: Hard Rock cafe

by birumania

I went to several local clubs when I was there but Hard Rock Cafe always had the best deal for me. They had life music every night and had a tradition of the DJ playing 'Twist and Shout' before they called it a night. And as soon as 'Twist and Shout' was on, all the waiters would crowded the dance floor and danced their heart out.
