Nenasi of Pahang
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nenasi of Pahang is faraway from urban areas in a place where you can see fishing village with kids staring at visitors. The sea shore is as what you see in the photo. Villagers are friendly, they allow us to snap as many photos as we like, they even gave us their address for us to send photos to them. Beautiful Nenasi.

    Paddy field
  • Tip Rating:
  • Padi field, rice bowl, this one is in Penang Island's Batu Maung, not easy to locate, you need to drive yourself squeezing into the village and many off road driving with cows and chickens around.

    Penarik of Terenganu
  • Tip Rating:
  • Penarik of Terenganu is a place completely away from tourists. If you want to avoid staring at each other, Penarik is the ideal place for you in Terenganu state. Penarik is at the seaside with beautiful beach, long beach with fishing boats, coconuts and villagers. No urban look, completely Penarik.

    Setiu of Terengganu
  • Tip Rating:
  • Setiu of Terengganu is one of the most beautiful road ever built in Peninsular. The road is parellel with the coastline which means we are driving just beside the coast for more than hundred kms. The road has probably one car in every 5 minutes, that's why you can even sleep on the road to take photos and it was clean. Scenery needless to say was one of the best.

    Tasik Temenggur
  • Tip Rating:
  • Tasik Temenggur is one of the best yet beautiful place to visit while you are in Malaysia. The location is far up the north of Peninsular in between Thailand border and the state of Perak. Near the town Gerik of Hulu Perak. The area is nature and old, old until it has the museum of the oldest human skeleton found in Perak Man dated back to nearly 11000 years. Tasik Temenggur is a lake in Hulu Perak and if you drive from the East coast acrossing the West coast, this Tasik Temenggur is a must.

  • Tip Rating:
  • Teluk Intan Leaning Tower. I heard this one from a friend long time ago but never thought it was real until recently I drove there myself. This is the pride of Teluk Intan, 84km from Ipoh, reminiscent of the Leaning Tower of Pisa this pagoda-like structure was built in 1885 by Chinese contractor, Leong Choon Choong. The dominating 25.5m tower was once used for water storage. Beside this tower is a local food court and shop selling the famous Teluk Intan biscuits.

  • Tip Rating:
  • This is Sekinchan the Rice Village in Selangor's Sabak Bernam district. We drove a long way from KL up to Ipoh then take a visit to Beruas down South to Teluk Intan then follow the old road of the West coast of Selangor to this village. This place is ery typical Malaysia village of rice with factory of rice mills and then everywhere you go it's Green just like the photo at left. We stop about 30 minutes here just to take photos and looking at Green colors. 101 points, perfect!

  • Tip Rating:
  • This is a picture of the resort I stayed in while on Redang. This was so relaxing. I snorkeled everyday, saw some great fish and amazing sea turtles. One word of warning, the travel agency told us ALL the food was included when only 1 dinner was (for a 3 day visit). Prices werent too bad though. Basically, I did a half day of snorkeling every day followed by a half day of relaxing on the beach. How could I not highly recommend that!! If you are not muslim, check it out before you go though. As we were leaving, they were contemplating enacting a law outlawing bikinis, alcohol and requiring all hotles to have two pools (1 male, 1 female).

    Outside Melaka and Georgetown...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Outside Melaka and Georgetown there are some fabulous decrepit mansions that were once the homes of rich Portugese, Dutch and English traders. Another incredible mansion going cheap in GeorgeTown, Pinang Island.
