Drunkard camping trip @Port Dickson

by muddybok

Beside Mark, my worst influent in life is the guy by the name Ryan Anderson (the guy having chicken rice ball). Two of us often escape to some quite beach & overly intoxicated with alcohol stuffs. This particular trip, we had 1 dozen of beers from cans & bottles before we finish another bottle of Absolut Vodka (75cl) & fell flat sleeping until pass noon.

Endau Rompin National Park

by gracekkh2004

This park encompasses the watershed of the rivers Endau in Johor and Rompin in Pahang. Lush and relatively untouched, it is one of the few remaining lowland forests in the country.A minimum stay of 4 to 5 days will be just nice for you to cover the many activities and attraction inthe park. Special tours can be arranged to suit your interests such as bird watching, photography trips, jungle trekking, nature study, camping and visit the Orang Asli Village and etc.

Taman Negara

by gracekkh2004

Taman Negara - Malaysia's Premier Park. The park was established for the sole purpose of protecting and preserving the flora and fauna indigenous to the area Located within the park is Peninsular Malaysia's highest mountain, Gunang Tahan.A range of comfortable accommodation is provided by the Taman Negara Resort at the Park Headquarters at Kuala Tahan. The restaurant outlets there also ensure that you do not go hungry amidst nature's wilderness. With so much to see and do, a trip to Taman Negara is must on your itinerary.

Mount Kinabalu

by gracekkh2004

Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Sabah. You can take flight either from Changi Airport or Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu Town. From Kota Kinabalu Town to Kinabalau Park is about 2.5 hrs. Each year thousands of visitors made the climb along the scenic Kinabalu Mountain Trail. No special abilities needed for the trail and anyone in good health can reach the summit. If you have dreamt of climbing a mountain that's way above the clouds with stupendous 360?C views all around, and does not require the use of technical climbing equipment, then Mt Kinabalu should be at the top of your agenda.

Who is the car lover at Bukit Tanku?

by Faiza-Ifrah

Bukit Tanku is the locality of the richest and most affluent of Kuala Lumpur. The residential villas can be easily mistaken for palaces. We visited the residential locality at night and were over-awed to see the elite of Malaysia. We saw a villa with 18 cars parked inside the compound. We found out that the villa belonged to a businessman whose wife held an important ministerial post in the Government. It explained it all hehehe. However, looking back, these elites deserve the very best of life after having developed the economy of ther country.

Endau Ghost

by AlbuqRay

My porch (picture on the right) at the Endau Beach Resort had a ghost. One of my friends is sensitive to such things. When she came to knock on the door of my room, she felt something brush her hair and screamed. When we ran outside, we saw nothing until we looked up. Someone had put a fish skeleton on the ceiling of the porch (picture on the left). We did not know what it meant but something was different there. Was the skeleton to keep the ghost away?

Sungai Marang

by AlbuqRay

Marang is a picturesque fishing village located where the Sungai Marang (Marang River) runs into the ocean. Climb the tower in the small park and get a good view. You can get good food in the market, just pick a place that serves Halal food. Marang Resort and Safaris is 2 km. south.

Check your shoes before wearing them

by FlaCapt

Since Bako is in the jungle, there are plenty of wildlife to see. This also includes monster mosquitoes, scorpions and snakes. When staying in the cabins, make sure you check your shoes to make sure the only thing going in them are your feet. Also, when walking the trails, watch where you put your hands as you climb. Snakes abound, along with drop offs that could really ruin your day.Walk quietly along the paths. I noticed as noisy tourists came down the trail, the animals were gone. Many people came back to the camp area complaining that they didn't see anything. Could be that they were too loud as they walked along.

Offroad driving in Malaysia

by dragontml

If you want to explore Malaysia's backcountry, it's probably best to go with one of the several 4WD tour specialists, as the terrain is difficult to negotiate without the help of a seasoned driver. He will have local knowledge of the trails, weather conditions, camping locations and scenic attractions to make your 4WD tour a holiday to remember. Some specialist operators also offer comprehensive courses suitable for beginners, through to more advanced levels. Some of the best offroad driving in Peninsular Malaysia can be found in the remoter regions. A premier site is Gua Musang in Kelantan, which is connected by hundreds of kilometres of logging tracks to Cameron Highlands in Pahang and Lasah in Perak. The Kenyir Lake area in Terengganu, and Endau-Rompin, Chini Lake and Sg. Lembing in Pahang are also popular offroad routes. But there are also good offroad driving sites near major cities....
