Bring mosquito spray with you if you go to the rainforest or to one of malaysia's islands. The spray should at least contain 40% of DEET.
Hiking Toiletpaper showed to be useful. My flashlight was a good friend many times during my stay in Malaysia.
Something really light will do. Swimming suits, sun block, and a pair of sunglasses!
