It serves a selection of European cuisines, including dishes from Italy, Turkey and France. From the modern artwork on the walls, to the deconstructed columns and lighting effects, the place itself is a conversation piece. You can start with a cocktail at the decadent glass bar and then move on to the restaurant. A favorite of Hollywood director Oliver Stone and KL's beautiful people, it's also a popular nightlife destination. hawker stalls on night markets (here in KOTA BHARU) If you have ever tasted the food in Malaysia you know what its unique qualities are... yummy!
To get a good over-view of the delights of Malay, Chinese and Indian-Tamil cooking go to the many nightmarkets all over. Here you can choose what you want by just pointing at the meals... and it is very cheap! Leave a Comment Theme: Other |
I have no particular favourite restaurants in Langkawi. Mostly we enjoy hawker food that comes in the form of street stalls and can be found in Kuah town and near the Kuah Jetty. Generally this food is safe to eat and comes in choices are aplenty. Malay restaurants, Thai food and stalls can be found scattered throughout the island and the food is tasty and varied too. If you eat it with hand (usually the case), the smell of the durian will stay with you for the rest of the day. A tip to get rid of the smell effectively is to reserve the husk and bring it under the running tap and you wash your hands under the husk. You will be amazed! To avoid sorethroat, reserve the husk again and put some salt and water in the husk and drink from the husk.
