Hawker Stalls: Cheapest indeed!

by honeymoon4ever

A unique way of eating out, al fresco, that is. Dine on the streets with delish treats from all Malaysian food specialties. Special mention here is the Meng Kee Grill Fish stall, truly cheap and good food. Lots of stalls to choose from. Even delicacies can be bought to bring back home.

Flavors Resto: tasty and cheaper

by honeymoon4ever

A cozy little resto in the inddor theme park, too bad I didn't get a picture of this resto. The food was Chinese, tasted great and cheaper than other chinese resto. What's more, the staff are young and very friendly eventhough not all of them speak English. Thumbs up to the staff!

Lakeview Restaurant: Don't Miss the Seafood, indeed!

by honeymoon4ever

This is the only resto in the Indoor theme park with live seafood that you can choose from and cook the way you like it. It also has a nice view of the Outdoor theme Park. Our favs here were the Hong Kong Kai Lan, a vegie steamed in garlic, sharksfin soup, 2 types of clams cooked in black bean sauce and in soup style, steamed fish and fried rice. Very expensive though.

Curry House: Nothing but Curry

by honeymoon4ever

I was amazed with this type of serving, it's a self service resto, pick what you want and pay at the counter. Tastes good and its the cheapest resto here in the indoor theme park! We had the Stingray Curry, Lamb Curry, Cucumber salad, fresh watermelon and a cute fresh coconut that tasted like Pandan!

Tip Photo
Market Food Street: Food better, friendly servers

by honeymoon4ever

This food court not only has tastier food but also had friendlier food servers than the Yummy food court. It has Chinese, Indian, Malay and even Western food. I even liked the ambience better than the other mentioned resto.

Yummy yummy food court: BKT,vegies!

by honeymoon4ever

The review on this food court here in VT was a warning that nothing tasted good, but no harm in trying since it was our first time to taste Malaysian food. The specialties were Bah Kuh teh, Peking Duck and an assortment of vegies, fish, etc. We liked best the BKT and the green vegie probably the kai lan as they call it. The Peking duck didn't taste good, a lot different from chinese peking duck in Hongkong, Macau or even back home. A warning though, the waiters in the BKT stall were not so friendly, esp when we didn't understand each other, the waiters were very rude. So better watch out.

Chee Meng Nasi Ayam or Chee Meng Chicken Rice: Deliciously In love

by arwenlynn

Near Bukit Bintang (Low Yatt Plaza side) Their main food is chicken rice. They have many other dishes. Equally good and tasty. It can be quite noisy during the lunch hour. Its air conditioned so u can enjoy your food in comfort. Next to it is a money changer. Love the chicken rice best.. roasted or steamed both taste great. The Mango salad is worth trying

The Ship: Good steak!!

by arwenlynn

They serve nice steaks.. many variety and affordable price. Unique style for their staff who donned uniform of a Captain etc. The moment we stepped in the restaurant it was so dark, litted with candles and nice old skool lamps. There is a buttons at your table, just press when u are asking more menu, bills or questions to the staff. Service was great.

Local Food Stall: Yeeeee Meeeeeeee and You

by KissRizz

Local Food Stall near by china town Yee Mee:...:the Yee Mee is usually deep fried to crisp prior to cooking. The noodles will then be cooked together with a special sauce on a hot plate. After a while, additional sauce and also some chiken, mushrooms and crab sticks will be added to the hot plate. When the hot plate gets really hot, you can see that the sauce looks like hot volcano lava with bursting bubbles all over the hot plate. You have the option of adding an egg into the dish if you like to. Once ready, the dish will be garnished with some fresh vegetables and served. A point to note is that the dish is a little spicy due to the dried chillies used in the sauce. So go Yee Meeeeeeeee

Any Hawker stall or any food court: Malaysian Satay

by KissRizz

Any Hawker stall...or any food court satay generally consists of chunks or slices of meat on bamboo or coconut leaf spine skewers, which are grilled over a wood or charcoal fire. Turmeric is often used to marinate satay and gives it a characteristic yellow color. While the popular type of satay are usually beef and chicken satays. It may be served with a spicy peanut sauce dip, or peanut gravy, slivers of onions and cucumbers, and ketupat. Its almost similar to the making oF arabian Kababs and Indian Reshmi Kabab.
