Luggage and bags: You can take a regular size luggage to Mulu but when trekking to the caves, bring a light backpack to bring the essentials
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure you pack cotton clothes (T-shirts, pants, shorts) and extra socks because it will be very humid during the trek. You will probably get your feet wet more than once. Wear comfortable walking shoes (I have seen Japanese tourists walking to the caves in 3 piece suits & dress shoes!!) and bring an flip-flops. A small towel is for when you sweat or when you go swimming. Of course, a hat or cap is to shelter you from the sun and bat/bird droppings from getting on your head!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen, mosquito repellent and some aloe vera to sooth skin from burn or insect bites as basic. Bottled water is needed because you will lose a lot on your trek
Photo Equipment: It will be extra humid in the caves and your camera equipment will get fogged up. If you want to care for your camera, try to use a casing to prevent excess moisture from getting into it or wipe it dry after a while

Luggage and bags: Be sure to check the weight allowance on Malaysia Airlines before going to the airport.
It isn't much on those twin otter flights.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take a rain poncho and a change of shoes, if you can. You are going to get wet while you are there.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Take everything that you think you will need.
There are a few supplies in the gift shop but not much. We got there without our toothbrushes and was lucky enough to buy those.
Photo Equipment: Plastic bags for your camera are essential.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Take what you will need if you are camping in the park.
