    National Stadium, Bukit
    Jalil
    by hopang
When you are having your vacation in Kuala Lumpur, take the opportunity to watch some interesting football matches at the National Stadium located at National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil approximately 20 kilometers south of the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The National Stadium is home to the national football team. If you are lucky you may watch some international football tournaments held at the stadium occasionally. You may even watch some international friendly matches against the national team at the stadium.

The stadium began construction in 1994 and completed in 1998 at a cost of more than RM500 millions, just in time for Malaysia's hosting of the 16th Commonwealth Games. It was constructed by United Engineers Malaysia Bhd. The stadium was officially opened in 1998. It has a seating capacity for approximately 100,000 spectators, thus making it one of the largest stadiums in the world. It has three spectator tiers and looks very impressive. The stadium occupies a total area of approximately 76,000 square meters of land.

The National Stadium was used for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 16th Commonwealth Games. Malaysia was the first Asian country to host the games where 70 nations with a total of more than 5,000 athletes took part. The stadium was designed to hold a number of events especially track and field and football matches.

A jungle survival course will really show you what exactly you are capable of, and will also teach you a number of things about the jungle and country you are living in. It will also take out all your inhibitions and make you change how you view your life.

Despite finding it really hard, i felt so glad i did it afterwards, and i felt proud that i could say to everyone back home what i did..... and i would do it again....if given the opportunity :D

jungle boots (buy them on route), a change of clothes....(you're only allowed one!!)...a camera with spare bateries!! and ul be given rations by the bandit leader :D

Just at the northern part of Sungai Petani, about 15 minutes drive from the main trunk road is Cinta Sayang Golf & Country Resort for your golfing delight.

There are also other activities like swimming, archery, squash and line dancing and of course dining.

A new land and water theme park has just opened in December. There are two giant slides but it is hot and good to avoid bad sun burn.

Sungai Petani is a good hour drive from Penang. A limousine taxi from Penang International Airport cost a standard RM90 and 50% surcharge after midnight.

In Malay, "Cinta Sayang" means love and affection. So it is great day for golfing and family and children activities.

    4-Wheeling
    by muddybok
4-Wheeling is getting more popular among the yuppies. Seem like every family own a 4WD.

Tracks with various difficult levels found throughout the country sides.

Winches & Mud tires are "must have" for tough tracks crossing national parks & logging tracks. Other essential such as Air-Locker, Turbo-charging, snorkels, good suspensions will depend very much on disposable income & seriousness towards this sport.

Consult you tour leader for all the essentials.

If you are happen to own or rent a mean, off-road worthy 4WD machine during your stay in Malaysia. You will find Malaysia a 4-wheeling heaven. Some world toughest treks such as Jeli-Cameron, Bekok-Kg. Peta trails are capable to kill any stock 4WD machine.

These tough trails that pass through national parks are not for the meek, you've been warned!!

    - Off-road worthy 4WD (no stock machine pls!!)
    - Winches (a must)
    - Hoe & other offroad preparation
    - Mud Tires
    - Good suspension system
    - Turbo Charged (preferred)
    - Snookle (Optional)
    - Air Locker (plus point)

Having an ATV in Malaysia can be quite fun. Opportunities to play on beaches & bushes are abundant.

Just observe some safety measure when you're doing ATV.

This is a typical scene for every live aboard dive trip that we had. Beers, cig & some grass are just some of the pastime & naughty thing that we do when we’re few nautical miles from all authorities.

This picture is to remember my late dive instructor (1st from the left) whom was killed in his biking hobby.

    La Tour de Langkawi,
    Formula One Grand Prix,
    Sea Games,
    Golf Tournaments,
    Badminton Tournaments,
    Commonwealth Games,
    etc.
A lot to mention here but I know some people might have known Malaysia from the sports events that Malaysia has held in the past.
