BOY....This is a really hot place , or should I say this was extremely hot when I was there...I beleive it is hot most of the time...I would suggest when you are out and about here make sure that you are carrying with you a sufficient amount of fresh bottled water..Being located virtually on the equator the temperatures are condusive to dehydration that happens quickly if fluids are not replaced.
Make sure when purchasing bottled water that the seal on the cap of the bottle has not been broken and your bottle has been refilled with ordinary tap water...this happened to me ..I'M sorry to say..

Hey guys ... this is a pretty safe place to travel around and live in! The driving is terrible, though not as bad as many places l've been to, but apart from that it's fine. Violence is virtually non existent, the drug scene is there, but very small. Alcohol is not sold (you can buy limited amounts from over the border which is nearby) so alcohol related incidents are few. Have been here since 1994 with no problems at all. The only danger is boredom if you don't get out and do something self generated - social life is not served on a plate here. Malaria free, bloody hot, so dehydration is a risk. Beaches are not that nice and full of sand flies which give nasty bites. A good life here though.

A: If it was in an Indian restaurant, it would be lassi - mango lassi? ;)
