The schedule can be tight so you have little time to take photos-the best time is on the train (to and fro) and when you get off the train to the change rooms, after which time you are no longer in possession of your camera. The best time though would be after lunch, where you should have 15-30 minutes or so before the train leaves.

Not only the rafting part, but the whole journey from Kota Kinabalu was a great experience!

Getting to the start point takes some time. One can only get there by train from Beaufort, and the journey from KK to Beaufort is done by bus or minivan, as organised by the tour group. A rail upgrade...
