From Beaufrong train station you will take a train up to the rafting starting point.
The journey is about 1-2 hours.
It was an interesting experience, the train doesn't have seats, there were some cargo boxes inside too.
We stopped a couple of time dropping off passenger at some villages along the way.
We also stopped to pick up a tractor...
Along the way you can see some forest and paddy fields

This is a very interesting train ride to the starting point of the water rafting. The train is the only mode of transportation up to the hills.
We got to ride the train with the locals who brought along their shopping & pet monkeys, chickens, duck, etc... interesting sights!

You should check with your tour agency to arrange a transport from your hotel to Beaufront train station (usually included in the tour package).

The water rafting organisers will arrange for a bus transfer from Kota Kinabalu (hotel pickup is available) to beaufort. Enjoy the scenic ride across the padi fields & other plantations.

Getting to the start point takes some time. One can only get there by train from Beaufort, and the journey from KK to Beaufort is done by bus or minivan, as organised by the tour group. A rail upgrade...
