After your bargain shopping at Sunday Gaya Street Market, fill your stomach with a bowl of Sabah Laksa. In Malaysia, there's a variety of laksa or curry noodle. The variation is simply good.
I find this Sabah Laksa not so spicy nor creamy with coconut milk but has a tinge of sourness. It's quite different from the usual curry laksa with cockles & fried beancurd. 1/ get a plate of rice and serve your self - you get charged according to what you take
2/ Order a set dish.

This little place is great, has a good range of food and unlike most airport cafe's is reasonably priced.
At 8am I had the Curry Mee (a curry soup with veg, chicken, noodles and tofo) very nice it was too.

This is the way to eat.
Its good, sooo cheap and fun too.
The night market here is food and seafood - direct from the trawlers so the fish is really fresh.
The people also set up food stalls where you pick your fish, they finish cooking it, you sit down and eat with the locals. Rice is provided as well. Really good food. Also available is Sate and chicken wings. The chicken wings are a must, they are messy to eat but well worth it.

The seafood here is so fresh that you generally pick your own from tanks, yes its still alive, and you can taste the freshness.
There are a few restaurants here, take your pick.

If you want to go here, I would suggest go early, as at main meal times it gets crowded.

If you like Indian you have to go here, its great and air conditioned.
It gets crowded at meal times so try to get there early if you can.

Food Court at top floor of 1 BORNEO shoping complex. After shoping I guessed most tourists will eat here. To purchase the food/drinks, need to purchase the coupons from the counter (see attached photo) and any excess refundable.
We ordered some juices, Japanese sushi, HK noodles and HALAL lok lok (See attached photo). The sushi was ok, the noodles was delicious but unfortunately the lok lok crab meat sticks was not fresh! Luckily after complained, was compensated with another bowl without the crab meat.
